Tim Cook says Apple has ‘big plans to announce’ from an ‘AI point of view’ during iPad event next week
Apple CEO Tim Cook has teased that Apple has “big plans to announce” from an “AI point of view” during its iPad event next week, as well as at WWDC in June.
In an interview with CNBC, Cook said that Apple will discuss AI at its upcoming “Let Loose” special event on May 7, which the iPhone maker recently said would be “a different kind of Apple Event” amid rumors that the showcase, taking place hours earlier than previous events have been scheduled for, will be accompanied by an event in London, England.
Scheduled to be held online, the event will commence at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET. Anticipated highlights include the unveiling of new iPad hardware and accessories, including the rumored iPad Pro, iPad Air, Apple Pencil, and Magic Keyboard.
The interview comes as Apple announced its financial results for its fiscal 2024 second quarter ended March 30, 2024, posting quarterly revenue of $90.8 billion, down 4 percent year over year.
