Apple working on new entry-level iPad with Apple Intelligence support
Apple is planning on releasing an updated version of its entry-level iPad, which will add Apple Intelligence support, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Writing in his Power On newsletter on Sunday, Gurman suggests that the new device, which will be Apple’s 11th-generation iPad, will launch in late 2025, leaving a gap of three years since the launch of the current model.
Apple’s current iPad is powered by the A14 chip found in the iPhone 12.
Asides from an improved chip to support Apple Intelligence, the new device isn’t expected to receive any major hardware upgrades over the current model.
