iPhone 16 repair tools and spare parts now available as part of Apple Self Service Repair Program
Apple has added repair tools and spare parts for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to its Self Service Repair Program in the US and several European countries, allowing users to perform repairs such as display replacements and battery swaps themselves, without having to visit an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
The online Self Service Repair Store offers products including back glass and screw kits, back glass adhesive, screws, heated display removal fixtures, and more.
Apple also offers tool rental kits from $49, so that customers who do not want to purchase tools for a single repair still have access to these professional repair tools.
Apple notes that the Self Service Repair program is intended for individual technicians with the knowledge and experience to repair electronic devices and that for the vast majority of customers, “visiting a professional repair provider with certified technicians who use genuine Apple parts is the safest and most reliable way to get a repair.”
