Apple Vision Pro with M5 chip rumored for 2025
Apple is reportedly planning to release an upgraded version of Apple Vision Pro in 2025, featuring the yet-unannounced M5 chip, according to an insight by reputable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In a post on X, Kuo wrote that “as I understand it,” Apple will unveil the M5 chip next year on an upgraded second-generation Apple Vision Pro, with the long-rumored more affordable “Apple Vision” headset said to have been postponed until 2027, with Kuo saying he thinks “what really drove Apple to delay the cheaper Vision Pro is that simply reducing the price wouldn’t help create successful use cases.”
Asides from the jump from M2 in the inaugural Apple Vision Pro headset, there hasn’t been many rumored speculation on any other improvements or upgrades. Kuo has previously said there won’t be any major hardware changes with the new model, adding that the M5 chip will significantly improve computing power “and ensure the best Apple Intelligence user experience.”
