Apple Card offers repayment relief to those affected by LA fires
Apple has announced measures to help Apple Card users in areas affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. Residents in these regions can temporarily defer their payments without interest charges. This relief is available to individuals whose registered Apple Card addresses are in zones officially declared as disaster areas.
The assistance program allows users to skip their payment for the month they enroll. During this time, no interest will be charged, although standard APR rates will resume the following month.
To access this relief, affected customers should contact Apple Card Support through Messages. This can be done by opening the Wallet app on an iPhone, selecting Apple Card, tapping the More button, and navigating to Account Details. From there, users can tap the Message button and send a request.
This initiative mirrors the support Apple provided to its customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, Apple introduced the Apple Card Customer Assistance Program, which allowed cardholders to defer their payments without incurring interest charges. This program was extended multiple times, offering financial relief to those affected by the pandemic.
