New HomePod mini expected to launch ‘toward the end of the year’
Apple is expected to unveil new HomePod mini models toward the end of 2025, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Previously rumored to launch between March and April, the updated smart speakers are now anticipated to debut between September and November.
In his weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman suggests that the new HomePod mini will likely be launched alongside an updated Apple TV. Both devices are expected to feature an Apple-designed chip that combines Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality. This new chip will support Wi-Fi 6E, an advanced wireless standard that utilizes the 6 GHz spectrum (with compatible routers) to deliver faster speeds and lower latency than Wi-Fi 6.
The HomePod mini is also set to receive a refreshed S-series chip, offering improved performance and enhanced sound quality. Additionally, the lineup will debut with fresh color options.
