Apple expands ‘Find My’ network to South Korea

Apple has expanded its ‘Find My’ network to South Korea, giving users in the region full access to the location-tracking capabilities of the Find My app. The feature allows users to locate Apple devices and compatible personal items on a map, as well as share their location with family and friends.
The Find My network is a crowdsourced system that leverages millions of Apple devices worldwide to help locate lost or stolen items—even if they’re offline. It works by securely detecting Bluetooth signals from missing devices and relaying their locations back to the owner via iCloud, all with end-to-end encryption for privacy.
Users can view a device’s last known location, play a sound to help find it nearby, activate Lost Mode to lock the device and display a custom message, or remotely erase it. The network supports a wide range of Apple products including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, AirPods, and AirTags. It also extends to third-party accessories through Apple’s Find My certification program, covering items like e-bikes, headphones, and luggage trackers.
Users can also use the ‘Share Location’ feature to share the location of lost AirTags or My Find My network accessories with trusted third parties, such as airlines.
