Delayed Apple Intelligence features slated to launch in the fall, report claims

Apple is reportedly planning to release its delayed Apple Intelligence features — including Personal Context, Onscreen Awareness, and deeper app integration — this fall, according to The New York Times. The update follows Apple’s announcement in early March that some of its AI capabilities would be postponed, with a vague promise that they would arrive “in the coming year.”
In a piece titled “What’s Wrong With Apple?”, the Times cites internal sources who confirm that the company has not scrapped its revamped Siri. According to three people familiar with the project, Apple intends to launch a more capable virtual assistant this fall, one that can handle tasks such as editing and sending photos on command.
Personal Context, one of the delayed features said to be coming this fall, will allow Siri to understand and reference your emails, messages, files, and photos to assist with tasks like retrieving documents or remembering personal details. New Onscreen Awareness will enable Siri to respond to what’s currently on your screen — for example, by adding a shared address to a contact or sending an image to a friend, and new, Deeper App Integration will give Siri the power to perform complex, multi-step actions across apps, such as moving files, editing images, and sending messages without manual input.
