Mass production reportedly underway for second-generation Apple Vision Pro

Apple suppliers may have entered mass production of the second-generation Apple Vision Pro, according to a report from China. The report claims that components such as display panels, housings, and circuitry have moved into full-scale production ahead of the device’s expected release sometime in 2025.
The news, first shared by Chinese outlet IT Home and relayed by MacRumors, cites an unnamed source familiar with Apple’s supply chain.
Previous reports have indicated that the next-generation Vision Pro may be powered by Apple’s upcoming M5 chip, although concrete details about other potential upgrades remain scarce. The overall design is not expected to see major changes.
However, one key area of focus for Apple appears to be improving comfort. The company is reportedly exploring ways to make the second-generation Vision Pro lighter and more wearable — addressing one of the most common criticisms of the current model.
