China Airlines adds support for AirTag lost baggage tracking

China Airlines has added support for Apple’s lost baggage tracking feature, which allows passengers to share the location of missing bags that have an AirTag attached to them with airlines to help locate and retrieve them more efficiently.
Apple first announced this initiative last year, partnering with airlines to integrate Find My item locations into their customer service systems. The iPhone maker has developed a system that enables airlines to track AirTags associated with lost luggage, improving the recovery process for mishandled or delayed bags.
Apple’s Find My network is a crowdsourced system consisting of over one billion Apple devices that use Bluetooth to detect and report the approximate location of missing items. The entire process is end-to-end encrypted and anonymous, ensuring that no one—including Apple or third-party accessory manufacturers—can access a device’s location or user information.
